The business Jaz Marine was established in 2001 by Uwe Jaspersen. Over the past six years Jaz Marine has won wide-spread recognition for a string of high performance sailing craft, ranging from Morrelli/Melvin designed 62 foot fast cruising catamarans to the in-house designed Jaz 37 Island Hopper which won rave reviews in the European sailing media. In the past two years Jaz Marine have developed the highly successful Jaz 40, a Owen/Clarke designed Class 40 race yacht, which is being built to the highest possible specification allowed under the Class 40 rules. Jaz Marine’s 2000 m2 are situated a few minutes drive from the harbour and can be reached within 20 minutes from the airport. Jaz Marine employs around 20-25 highly skilled craftsmen, the majority of whom are permanent staff members. In-house training is ongoing and new construction techniques are developed continuously to assist with weight saving and efficiency. We don't just build boats, we build relationships.
